Ashley Evans’s bio…as written by a fan...

Ashley Evans is awesome at everything she does.

I guess people start writing other peoples bio’s with statements like…"a native of such and such"…but Ashley Evans is originally from West Monroe, and I’m not sure how many people from West Monroe would like to have that mentioned…so, I went a different route.  

Well, as the story goes, Ashley moved to Lafayette sometime around 2000 as one of the top softball recruits for UL. Well, she kicked ass at that and was, at the end of her junior year, number two in the whole nation in total number of home runs. (Pretty impressive when you consider that she weighs about 95 lbs.). During this time, she befriends some friends of some friends of some friends who played a little music…which she took to. Next thing you know, all of her friends that have been playing music for a multitude of years are blown away by this new chick singing her brains out.

This is about the time that I met Ashley. Before I could get to her singing abilities, I had to digest the fact that this girl Ashley had willingly dyed her hair in some sort of really bad zebra print. When this shy girl finally did sing, I quickly forgot about the hair issue…this girl really was something special.

To say that Ashley is a "natural" is sort of an understatement. I can easily say that she’s the best vocalist that I’ve ever played with…and I’m sure that most of the other musicians she’s played with over the years will say the same. She’s a rocker too…which I like a lot…and she’s got the pipes and range to pull off some things that most people wouldn’t even try. Her song selection is also right for whatever audience she catering to. But most of all…she's a great person and one of my favorite people for a number of reasons. Wherever Ashley is playing and whoever she’s playing with - its guaranteed to be a very memorable performance.

Other Characters:
 
Bryan Blum: Bald, loves his baby, his new les paul and his wife (sorry ladies)! He plays guitar, mainly.

Zack Blum: Youngest and most talented of the Blum Tribe, product of a vasectomy gone wrong and has a third nipple. He plays everything…literally.

Eric Faulk: Very fertile. Sells drugs to make ends meet. He plays drums.

Courtney Trahan: voice like an angel. Courtney can sit it anywhere with anyone and nail a vocal harmony without even thinking about it. She’s also a magnet for creepy stalker fans with bad choices in footwear. Courtney also plays a mean djembe (it’s a drum).
